Eyeshadow as Hair Color???

Have old eyeshadows that you want to recycle/reuse? Try this!

Eyeshadow as Hair Pigment

This is something I recently came across on videos on YouTube, mostly in UK channels. It can be done with chalk, but for those who are very impatient (like me) eyeshadow will work fine. Now, something to be noted before anything gets started: I have bleach blonde hair. So, I cannot say that I know what will happen on dark hair, but I imagine that it would simply mean the color is less intense.

So this is what we started out with:
I used:

I took my knife and scraped the blue off onto a tissue, I got my finger tips coated in it and pinched at my tips. I repeated this until I ran out of pigment. I did the same thing with a few single strands with the pink and spread the hair around, giving a colorful look that's fun for the day. It comes out with water, and no staining or commitment or chemicals! I recommend it for experimental style ideas or kids or someone who just wants something fun for a day or two.

This is the result!

As you can see, I went for sporadic asymmetrical look with blue dip dye. It took 15 minutes. If you want full saturation, you may need to get several eyeshadows or just get chalk. Combine both methods for more colors!

Have fun experimenting guys! Happy coloring!
